now you know.  I had no idea they were opening a Leawood store.

The highly touted specialty grocery chain will open both its area stores at 8 a.m. on July 15th.

I have a feeling people will be camping out at both stores waiting for them to open, what is more pathetic; camping out at a trader joe's or camping out at an apple store waiting for the new Iphone?

Trick Question. Neither because both suck equally.

My mom, wife and daughter apparently survived it this morning.  I'll be trying their house pilsner tonight.

What does Trader Joe's have that a regular supermarket or even Corsentino's does not?
I've actually never been inside one.

doable french/italian wines under $10-$12, high grade spanish saffron for $6 (usually over 10 for that grade), really good chocolate covered things for less than specialty stores, some pretty good prepared frozen foods even for foodies, very good low cost olive oils, high grade cheeses for less than specialty cheese stores, dried pastas are above store grade, especially the orzo.  just the tip...

is it overhyped... yeah, but they do have a lot of things to like.
