This is my set of photos taken on a week's visit to New York City, in the final week of October 2008, just before the presidential election. I embarked aboard a mechanical falcon after having been awake all night editing some Kansas City photos I had just taken. On the Thursday of my week in New York, I rented the expertise of a pilot and his intrepid mechanical hummingbird, for some aerial photos of which can be found here too. Halloween was the following night, and I spent some time getting my requisite Brooklyn Bridge shots in before making way to Greenwich Village to see the wild Halloween parade. There's no place on Earth for adults on Halloween night like Manhattan, as I found out. The next day I returned home to Kansas City, and it was 170 days after disembarking from that return flight of a mechanical falcon that I finally got around to finishing my edits on these (only because the whole bloody thing would often sit untouched for weeks at a time while I was caught up tending to other things). So, seven months later now and I'm finally done. Off we go....
This Youtube embed is a semi-random song I've liked for a long time now; have a listen along with the photos if you wish.
Thanks for viewing.
