Basketball Courts

Post by dorothyandtototoo »

Hi guys, moving into an apartment near Holly and Westport soon.  I need to find some good basketball courts.  Anyone know if there are any around?

Speaking of downtown basketball courts, here is a video of my buddy Jared and I with our version of a Dunk contest, KC Style.

The closest to you would be Roanoke Park next to the Westport-Roanoke Community Center and the unnamed park behind Costco

If you don't need a full court, uou're probably almost as close to to Fisher Park, which is about a half mile west of State Line on 39th Street.  The park has a nice half-court that gets some regular use from the neighborhood.

I know people that play every week at Guardian Angels (indoors, full court) right down the street from you at Roanoke/Westport Rd.

I have no idea if it's a reserved type deal or who you would call. If you can't find any info - maybe head down around 5p or so on a Wednesday night an poke around.
If it doesn't have street-level retail, it's an abortion.

You can always try the college basketball experience downtown.

I understand that downtown workers sometimes play pickup here.

You can get an annual pass for $150.
