It was so nice to be able to watch KU play and then walk a few blocks home.  That hasn't happened since my freshman year in the dorms.

I got home at 1am.   So I certainly see why adults (esp with younger children) wanted to get home a bit earlier.
No different then the parking garage next to Allen Fieldhouse. Parking garages are not designed for rapid exiting but for allowing a high number of parking places for a fixed land area.  If you want to get out quicker park 2 or 3 blocks to the north and you can get to the highway very quickly as I saw both nights while walking home.

If I attended a game at Sprint Arena, I think I'd just head over Flying Saucer's for a beer and let the traffic dissipate before heading home.

No kidding!  We hung at the bowling alley after the big 12 last year, then hopped in the car and went home.

Nope.  This was a MON-TUE deal, not a weekend time like the Big 12.

The P&L was totally shut down both nites following the KU games.  I didn't see Flying Saucer, but I did walk thru the atrium with my dad to show him the interior and not even Biersch had a light on.

mcfaddens, lucky strike, flying saucer, howl at the moon (tuesday), tengo sed...all open.  Probably nobody hanging outside in the cold no doubt.....

They may have been open until 11pm or something, but KU didn't get done until midnight or so.  And there weren't even any cops at the entrance of P&L at that point, because there was nothing open inside.

I didn't hear even a peep, or see any lights, standing in the atrium Monday nite.

Most people had to work the next day, so sticking around the P&L to drink wasn't really an option.  I certainly would have if this had been a weekend game.

Did anyone watch any of the tournament out in Anaheim - The arena litterally was down to fans that could be counted in the low dozens.

Went to the Cigar Box after the game on Monday. Nice steady crowd...I think we were the only ones from the games that went

That is somehow the fault of KU fans.

This is what's so hilarious about Powercat:  last March, he blamed KU fans for packing the Sprint Center so tightly, that the Big 12 may be forced to rotate the tourney because of our massive home court advantage.

http://forum.kcrag.com/index.php?topic= ... #msg329125

But 6 months later, turns right around and blames KU fans for not packing the Sprint Center for the CBE.  It's all a bit confusing I know, and I'm sorry I have no explanation for his "logic".

Should I be flattered or frightened by this level of obsession?
