WoodDraw...corporate greed is the root cause of all problems in the US (per this board). There are no other variables that make sense. Greedy CEO's are the only reason that businesses fail.

It isn't necessarily greed so much as wanton mismanagement. I mean, being paid $60 million to run your company into the ground is, you have to admit, pretty impressive.

CEO pay, while probably too high considering their often abysmal performance, is really a red herring.  GM has 266,000 employees.  You could cut CEO of GM's compensation by 66% and only generate enough wealth to increase the annual employee pay about 35$ per worker.
CEO's need to live and die with their company. If I was going to collect a paycheck like that whether I succeeded or failed, I wouldn't have an incentive to succeed. They executives need to go bankrupt with their companies.

Healthcare after they retire isn't guaranteed is it?  Even when the Fed's bail them out?  What about bailing out these companies that have all these jobs overseas?

Right. So if they are dumped on the system WE  get to pay for their health care. Welcome to the argument for health care reform.
