Re: Flying Saucer
Very true. I am at 90 and now I am lucky to pop in to have one or two every two weeks. Too expensive with a house.

Re: Flying Saucer
Yeah, I'm only at 48. Still love the place, but just can't justify being in there 3 times a week right now.
Re: Flying Saucer
Anyone going to the Avery tasting tonight?

I am probably going to be there.

Re: Flying Saucer
Yeah, moving to Waldo and spending every penny on my house has me stuck at 98 or something. I went in for the first time two weeks ago (other than the Obama party) and the bartender gave me a free beer because I had not been in for so long. Sigh, I'm jealous.
And the stretch comment...haha!

Re: Flying Saucer
Been over a month since I was in there. I'm feeling guilty. I'm at 54 so I'm going to have to kick it into gear at some point.
Re: Flying Saucer
I'm hovering in the sixties, though I've consumed probably hundreds of beers there. Once I got my total that high, I realized that the rest of teh beers are going to have to be beers that I wouldn't otherwise order or enjoy. I go for the variety, and I don't see the point in going to a great beer bar if I can't drink what i want when I'm there. So, when they add something interesting, I add it to my tally(if I remember my card).
Re: Flying Saucer
not a dime, but i do get a bunch of great free beer to drink occasionally. and sometimes food. then there is that lifetime pass to crossroads kc. oh, yea i forgot to throw in all the really cool folks he introduces me too. and the bands. i met the black crowes and george clinton and mr. poopy pants and joss stone and ziggy marley and kevin green and lara moritz and annebeth surbaugh and all the cool dudes with the microbreweries and then there the guy from tito's homemade vodka who hooked me up with free schwag and vodka and then there's........trailerkid wrote: How much have you invested in Stretch?

I go no more often to FS nor drink more than I would otherwise because of the UFO Club. As such, I am at 27 and at peace.

Re: Flying Saucer
This place has cheap, yet tasty bar food. There are also very reasonably beer specials.
I think the entire P+L could burn down around it and this place would still have a good crowd the next day.

The only thing I have found that I really like are the nachos. Other than that, I drink then head somewhere else for food. Their business seems to be very unpredictable when I've been in. Sometimes the place is empty and other times you can't get a seat to save your life.

Re: Flying Saucer
Their clientele is questionable.
I had the turkey meltdown yesterday and it was pretty fracking good.

Sounds like just about every bar I go to.
I love the Saucer. It's the only bar in the P&L I visit semi-regularly. And I happen to think their pizza is pretty tasty.
