It's nice to see a Springfield, MO company represent this, along with being my employer. O'Reilly is a great company to work for.

This arena is just awesome. Just to think Last year at this time there were porta potties at half court. How fast things change.

Like 1st or 2nd row off the court....across from the mid court. Like, right behind Dick Vitale.AllThingsKC wrote: Thanks for the photos, MD.

I finally figured out last nite why he came: UCLA was in town. That's his school.

Re: CBE Classic - Sprint Center (11/19/07)
I went Monday and Tuesday, both times wearing my KU hat. Not really to be a dick, but because I was walking there from where I live and I wear hats when I am not working. I was standing by the bar overlooking the court and I was hit in the back with an empty plastic beer cup. Didn't say anything, just turned around and asked the guy, "Did you really just do that?" He was a blue collar looking guy, with his family, from south of the border, wearing a MU T-Shirt. I turned around and left it alone and he yelled "Fuck all Jayhawks!!!" I just went about my business and grabbed a beer and paid. I noticed about a minute later that one of the red coat guys and a cop were escorting him out, along with his two sons (6 years old and 10 years old I would guess). Aparently the bar tenders have the ability to have people thrown out really easily if they are not happy with your behavior. Seems like a good policy.

Re: CBE Classic - Sprint Center (11/19/07)
Oh yeah - bartenders there are HARD CORE! I was in a group just drinking in the bar area last nite. One of the gals (not drunk whatseover) was denied by the bartender. "Ma'am we cannot serve you - you're intoxicated."
When she protested, the bartender went to the others working, and informed them not to serve her! Amazing. She was so mad she stormed out and refused a beer when we offered one for her.
Never have I seen this.

Good lord - what a way to act in front of your kids. I guess I should count myself lucky for not ever having the childhood experience of being kicked out by the police because my dad was acting like a drunken asshole. I hope the police checked whether he drove the kids there and didn't just send them all back to the car.kuslamb wrote: I noticed about a minute later that one of the red coat guys and a cop were escorting him out, along with his two sons (6 years old and 10 years old I would guess).

What a shock. Some bottom-of-the-barrel piece of insecure limpdickery has to make provocations over some moronic, puerile, trivial, and inconsequential college rivalry. It's speech impediments like that who give the male gender a bad reputation. And I notice from your description that he was too chickenshit to act out to your face, instead employing the perennial passive-aggressive approach.kuslamb wrote: I went Monday and Tuesday, both times wearing my KU hat. It was pretty obvious where the cup would have come from, and when I turned around he had that "who, me..???" look on his face that instantly made him look guilty. I got a bit of a laugh out of it.Tosspot wrote: And I notice from your description that he was too chickenshit to act out to your face, instead employing the perennial passive-aggressive approach.

No comments on our $400K/year right fielder, getting booted out of his seats Monday nite?

It's people like this that screw things up for everybody. Nice ending.kuslamb wrote: I went Monday and Tuesday, both times wearing my KU hat. Why would there be. If he wanted those seats he would have bought them. Just b/c he makes a large amont of money doesn't mean he can't get booted out of someone elses seats.Maitre D wrote: No comments on our $400K/year right fielder, getting booted out of his seats Monday nite?

You missed my point. Of course he should be booted if he's scamming seats. I'm asking, why is a 400K guy scamming seats to begin with?KansasCityCraka wrote: Why would there be. I'm sorry that happened. I have heard that security will be really, really tight for the KU-MU game at Arrowhead, just in case stuff like that gets out of hand.kuslamb wrote: I went Monday and Tuesday, both times wearing my KU hat.
