It's amazing how often Kemper has major events on weekday afternoons!

I wouldn't know because I'm never around there and nobody else is either. Unless you work down there. But since alot of people do work downtown they will know when the Sprint Arena has an event.GRID wrote: It's amazing how often Kemper has major events on weekday afternoons!

use your brain paint...think about it....try.Paintfumes wrote: I wouldn't know because I'm never around there and nobody else is either. Unless you work down there. But since alot of people do work downtown they will know when the Sprint Arena has an event.
they don't use the arena during the day. One of the only events that would use the arena during the day is the American Royal and even that is very limited use. The larger AR events are still at night and on weekends. But that is staying at Kemper, so I would say that there might be one or two events during a weekday all year, but I don't even know what those would be.
Where do you want the arena to be? The only thing I can think of is out by the speedway or something, I guess that would make you happy.
Sprint seats 18k. That's less than 9k cars for a sold out event. I believe most events at kemper park 1 car per 2.5 people. So that is even a stretch. Yet Sprint will be much more accessable via transit and have far more parking options from the garages across the street to crown center to even the plaza if you take a bus.
I don't know how often sprint will sell out, but even if it does, you will have to park 5000-8000 cars in the downtown/crown center/crossroads area.
Most events are at night when most of the 40,000 loop parking spaces and the 25,000 crown center spaces are empty.
Where is the problem? I don't see a problem.

Just another opportunity to bash the burbs here.
At least 13 posts out of 64 are doing nothing other than bashing burbs or burbanites.
IMAGINE THAT here!
Soooooo predictable. . .
For those of you who think it can be successful without burb support, I've got a beautiful swamp in Arizona to sell you.

I wasn't sure if this was an actual nota post, or more of Chrizow's parody.nota wrote: Just another opportunity to bash the burbs here.

Grid. I have time and we'll just wait for an event to happen during the day. If it does I'll remind you.

Well, Thursdays and Fridays during the Big 12. And for NCAA bb tournaments when they are in the first or second rounds.GRID wrote: It's amazing how often Kemper has major events on weekday afternoons!
Of course, dt KCMO will only have to worry about the Big 12 once every four years.
I may be right. I may be wrong. But there is a lot of gray area in-between.
