i am very picky about the location. i turned down the independence center in 1997. i have turned down two paying gigs for it in the last 5 years, to me, it has to be in the perfect spot to do the most good, be seen by the most people, and brighten the most days.kcmetro wrote: What about the Falls at Crackerneck, or whatever it's called?

Great! I have just the place for it then......Oak Park Mall. Lots of people shop there, including thousands of little kids! Seeing as they live in a suburban wasteland, I'm sure it would brighten their day.kcdcchef wrote: i am very picky about the location. i turned down the independence center in 1997. i have turned down two paying gigs for it in the last 5 years, to me, it has to be in the perfect spot to do the most good, be seen by the most people, and brighten the most days.

Oh to hell with ethics when it comes to making money I say. I hate suburban design but hold stocks that benefit from it.

Be careful. They could be talking about downtown also.kcdcchef wrote: legends at village west. i think this forum will still be around then, and i am sure we will be talking about how shitty it became.
I may be right. I may be wrong. But there is a lot of gray area in-between.

if you have any further questions regarding my business practices, pm me. i severely doubt, for the record, oak park mall would attract me. i prefer hospitals, or benefits for charities, just as an fyi. only one paying gig pulled me from that, however, it was in a year in addition to my normal practice. so, if you think oak park will show me the money, well, again, pm me with any more questions about my business practices.kcmetro wrote: Great! Hopefully not, especially with future residential. KCK should be able to support it. Movie theater, shoe stores, teenybopper stores, Chipotle, Panera, TJ Maxx. Stuff you can find everywhere. And all the surrounding attractions hopefully their patrons will help support the more touristy businesses at VW.

You people can hate the place all you want but I go there all the time. Everyone is going out of bussiness in that place so there are always good deals. Why go to Oak Park Mall and spend 3x's as much.Sussudio wrote: Good. That place is a dump.
