I am happy to see that the USA will be home of the worlds tallest again.
I also hope that after the beginning of the construction of this new structure, there will be more high rise development across the country again.

Well, I can tell you it will be taller than 1776, I have seen NYC, plenty of photos of that part of manhatten. the wtc's antenna was 1,600 and some feet, this is lots taller than that.
Also, what about Burj Dubai? Of course, I really doubt those in Dubai could pull an 800m building off...

1,776 ft. will be the building's official height to honor the year 1776. However the antenna at top rises to over 2,000 feet.

the article didnt say anything about the antenna so I didnt want anyone misunderstanding
