St. Luke's is branding their new Lee's Summit hospital as "St. Luke's East - Lee's Summit". That kinda suggests the possibility of another Eastern Jack location in the future, and is similar to the naming of their Northland hospitals (e.g. St. Luke's North - Smithville and St. Luke's North - Barry Road).
Where would they build? A few years ago they tried to build a new hospital on the southeast corner of 291 and 40 Hwys, but were rejected by state regulators. Now that location seems too close to their new site at I-470 and Douglas. Would Blue Springs be big enough to support a second hospital?
