Forum downtime
Apologize for the downtime. The host installed new PHP code and I hadn't upgraded the forum yet.

PHP can suck my noticably hairy ass. Perl is the way, the truth, and the life.

Oh no you di-int!
Seriously though, I like PHP fine, but its functionality seems only useful for the web, and my use of perl is much broader than that. It just happens to run all my web stuff too.

Re: Forum downtime
KCP, I don't mean to revive an old thread, but how come the down time is everyday between 10:30 and 11:30am? Is there anything that can be done about that?

Yeah, there were a few times today the forum app couldn't connect to the db. Error message ensued.
And it's been hanging up a little bit tonight, even.

Yes. Everytime I try to log in between 10:30 - 11:30am, the forum is always down. It's always back on within the hour, but I was just wondering that happens everyday.StL_Dan wrote: The forum was down?

Re: Forum downtime
Does it give an error at that time or what? I need error messages to send back to the host.
I have noticed today there were some db errors......

Re: Forum downtime
Yes, it does have an error message. I think there's even a code, too. The next time I see it, I'll copy & paste it on the forum later.KCPowercat wrote: Does it give an error at that time or what? I need error messages to send back to the host.
