I know, but it’s actualky never happened when I’ve been on the streetcar. Always every stop.

The first time I took my folks on the streetcar, it zipped right past the stop in front of Anton's. I was like, WTF?

I've noticed that the "To request a stop..." recording always seems to play when it's approaching the 7th Street stop, but I rarely hear it when approaching any of the others. Is it by design that it plays for stops that are less likely to have people waiting, or does it play if a stop is approaching and no one has requested it yet? Or is it just a case of selective hearing and/or coincidence?

Not sure good look when the buses can start sooner than the streetcar in bad weather.

Wow, I'm shocked at how high our numbers are. Right up there with Las Vagas Monorail and ahead of many cities much larger than ours.

This is good to bring forward since it helps show when lots cleared downtown and can see the down and up of downtown.

That lot directly north of 3rd/Grand looks like it’s been that way for more than 60 years. That shows just how much impact the train has had downtown. A baby boomer has only known an empty lot on that corner in their life.

So much destruction. Mostly for parking. Very few new buildings after the 40s.

This is in no way poking fun at other streetcar lines but highlights to me how extremely successful our line is ...we would have been pretty excited about the numbers they are showing (they we're close to our estimates) yet our numbers continue to be to double the estimates ....pretty crazy.

If they don't figure out a way to stay free permanently, they're in trouble.

OKC's "4.6 mile" line is actually about half that distance. They, like Cincinnati and Atlanta, are counting the track length since these systems operate as a loop using different streets in each direction. The longest distance you can travel on the OKC streetcar in one direction is just under 2 miles (East Bricktown or Scissortail Park to Dewey Avenue using the Downtown Loop).

Kansas City counts the linear distance (2.2 miles) since our route is linear and mostly on the same street.

And not that ridership is the only measure of any streetcar system success....

Seems to show our demand was there and these other two were reaching a bit? Again if development follows, it's totally worth it for them.

I don't know why, after seeing KC's ridership numbers, these lastest streetcar operations aren't going with a linear route. I could study that OKC transit map for five minutes and still not be able to describe to someone where it goes. It doesn't look like it will go anywhere fast with all those turns. It's a tangled bird's nest!
