^ You think the new terminal will be ready in 2021? The ways it's going currently, 2026 might be more realistic.

Orlando maybe? STL and Oklahoma have literally nothing going for them over his suggeste onesmgsports wrote:Orlando? St. Louis? OKC?
KC is not beating out all of San Francisco, Phoenix, Detroit, Minneapolis, Philadelphia, Tampa/Orlando/Jacksonville, New Orleans, etcbeautyfromashes wrote:12 US cities will host. Here is my prediction:

Seattle, Washington
Washington, DC
FIFA wants to host games in huge open air stadiums with natural grass surfaces. Arrowhead is the 7th biggest on the list of all the stadiums. NOLA & Jacksonville aren't even on the final list. Detroit & MSP are both non retracting domes. KC is also about to have one of the premier training facilities in the country that they will want teams to base themselves out of for the WC.dnweava wrote:KC is not beating out all of San Francisco, Phoenix, Detroit, Minneapolis, Philadelphia, Tampa/Orlando/Jacksonville, New Orleans, etcbeautyfromashes wrote:12 US cities will host. Cities with newer stadiums and the infrastructure for hosting super bowls and final fours. KC people are being huge homers thinking we are a top 20 city for the 12 spots.
STL and Oklahoma City wont happen.mgsports wrote:Can play at Busch Stadium.
We’ve already beat out Jacksonville and NO. They are already eliminated. Phoenix and SF don’t even have an MLS team and MN just got one this year. I think they would put a game here for the Midwest, getting STL and MSP people driving here than FL getting two cities.dnweava wrote:

FIFA prefers roofs over seating like in Europe. Look at all the WC stadiums in Russia, Brazil, South Africa, and Germany; they all have roofs over the seating to meet FIFA standards. Arrowhead doesn't meet FIFA standard's for roofing, and I also don't think it is wide enough either without removing seating.TheSmokinPun wrote:FIFA wants to host games in huge open air stadiums with natural grass surfaces. ^Sporting has no use for that stadium. The chiefs would use it if anything.beautyfromashes wrote:^ So, offer to build a new stadium. Put it in North Loop. Host cities get four games and it’s said they are each equivalent to the Super Bowl. Introduces our city to the world, likely gets us international nonstops and gets SKC into the urban core where they belong.
Children’s Mercy Park has the second smallest capacity of any MLS stadium and is regularly sold out. If they don’t need it now, they will soon.ldai_phs wrote: ^Sporting has no use for that stadium. The chiefs would use it if anything.
