Be pretty cool if the mayor had an announcement about a new development due to the streetcar.

He does, its one of these. A futuristic self contained city holding 30,000-60,000 residents complete with parking

Is the thing at 10am worth going to or is just going to be a press conference?

I'm thinking the same chuck.... I'll probably go but I'm sure it won't be much more than soundbites and back slapping.

The two parties (first stop, track (99%) completed were basically soundbites and back slapping and a time to get the media out.

The reason to go is if you really want to be on the train early in the day

Someone please do a poll of emerging Planning professionals to determine how many came to the career choice via Sim City.

Sad what Sim City has become. Fortunately there is Cities: Skylines.

I'm sitting in a suburban car dealer's service area waiting room, unfortunately. :(

That's pretty much the antithesis of a streetcar opening.

I know, right? It was kind of painful. But on my way home I saw the streetcar whizzing down Main packed with a hojillion people, and to be fair, that looked potentially painful also. More fun than I was having, probably, but I'm just going to eat those sour grapes.

I didn't notice any particular delays, except at Union Station. Think the schedule was off due to 4 trains running, but they were one right after another in River Market.

We took two rides and walked the route twice. Drinks at Grunauer, happy hour at Harry's, horsefeathers and r&b at Tom's Town, dinner at Il Lazzerone.

Great day in the city!
