Your goal is to maximize the changes you could make to get the most impact on as broad an area with improvements for as many modes as possible. Assume that nothing is off limits. You don't need to replace anything you remove if you don't want to. While the goal is to support many modes you can pick those modes of travel.

Use $25,000 per mile for flex post protected bike lanes

removal, one demo/rebuild to a landscaped area project in Portland a decade ago was $3.80 per square foot. So go with $8/square foot today since construction costs did skyrocket.

for comparison, the lot at the Corrigan Building on main is approx 16500 square feet. So to change it would be approx. $130,000
