Dave, as mentioned are you aware of any talk about free Downtown/Northland bus service while bridge is out of service? Or even if not free, a marketing blitz with local media?

Also going to have a queue jump setup.
I think the transit signal with the transit only lights is still in place at 12th so I would expect this to be used.
Will be a good test of if improved transit priority encourages use

^Yep! I noticed the freshly painted "BUS ONLY" markings on the pavement and a whole slew of covered up "No Parking" signs installed and waiting to be uncovered.
I honestly don't remember this being too terrible when the Paseo Bridge broke after people had a couple of weeks to adjust.
On another note, while I doubt very many people would get confused since most 169 traffic is locals and airport users (who would probably mostly use GPS), the poor placement of this detour sign has me imagining clueless people taking this instruction at face value and then angrily honking their horns and shaking their fists while waiting behind the streetcar.

I've been wondering what KCK's feelings would be about eliminating the only interstate freeway access to their downtown. Looks like their opinion is exactly what I expected it would be.
I-70 isn't going anywhere so we should just eliminate an exit or three, narrow the channel, and put a lid on it.

Has anybody seen any actual work done on the bridge since it was closed? I drive northbound every day around 2:45 and I've never seen any sign of workers, though much of the work may be needed on the underside of the bridge.
