I don't even want to know their reasons for voting no. I mean I do but I don't.
We are doing environmental right now.beautyfromashes wrote: ↑Thu Jul 11, 2019 6:33 pm I’ve been noticing what seems to be crews taking core samples on Main in Midtown. Related to planning for streetcar or some other non related project?
He was not present at the Airport and Streetcar votes.DaveKCMO wrote: ↑Thu Jul 11, 2019 3:57 pmFull council passed. Hall and Loar voted no. Lucas not present. All others voted yes.DaveKCMO wrote: ↑Thu Jul 11, 2019 1:40 pmThe streetcar financing ordinance is on this afternoon's council agenda: http://cityclerk.kcmo.org/liveweb/Meeti ... wIfd9ibUHj
I wouldn't want someone to get voted onto the council and then effectively move away. Ex, they keep a home in Virginia and have a token address in KC.KCPowercat wrote: ↑Fri Jul 12, 2019 7:03 am Being physically present to vote is so dumb in government.

Thanks for the link Dave! With the expanded VMF, would they do the northern expansion with the current building and tie the entire facility together? Or would it be an expansion east across Holmes near that brick building housing maximus signs?DaveKCMO wrote: ↑Wed Jul 24, 2019 8:59 pmhttp://kcstreetcar.org/wp-content/uploa ... .16.19.pdfAnthony_Hugo98 wrote: ↑Wed Jul 24, 2019 1:13 pm Has there been anything released on when the environmental will be complete?
To save someone the time of searching, he's referring to around file page 153. There's mockups of adding storage track and using the existing building for up to 15 trains (though the drawing looks to have 16) and one with an expanded building.Anthony_Hugo98 wrote: ↑Thu Jul 25, 2019 11:06 amThanks for the link Dave! They're not submitting for a single grant.Anthony_Hugo98 wrote: ↑Thu Aug 15, 2019 10:07 pm What’s the timeline on submission for the Fed grant ? I remember reading somewhere that it was August, but I wasn’t sure if it was going to be the end of the month or not.

So if 2021 is the target for funding, late 2024 would be the earliest, possibly into 2025.
If the Streetcar Authority receives its federal funding by early 2021, the project will be on track to be completed and running by late 2024.
