I see. That makes sense. By consolidating bus lines to only a couple of streets downtown it will effectively make all/most DT bus lines into Max lines...Its almost like the Main St. Max will only really run Crown Center to Waldo and then feed into this DT spine.

I'm sure there were reasons not to, but not moving Main Street MAX to the Grand alignment prior to streetcar construction was a big missed opportunity, in my opinion. The detours have been frustrating and confusing.

I'm assuming it has to do with not wanting to raise the price tag for the streetcar improvements any higher. It would look bad

Using Barney allis as a bare bones layover stop seems very meh and a quick way to get the buses behind when events downtown backup both 12th and Wyandotte.

little pieces are starting to come into place, finally:

construction reroutes end dec. 14. the rest of the changes start jan. 4.
