Dave, are you still involved with bikeshare? Any indication if the new station locations are selected from a pool of sponsors or if some stations were specifically sponsored by the property owner? Mix of both?

If a building owner sponsors its own station, do its tenants get say, discounted annual passes?

i am not directly involved in bike share. i do know that if someone wants to pay for a station that bikewalkKC will work to make it happen. not aware of any perks, other than possibly a tax deduction.

Stations still notably absent from Liberty Memorial/PVP...

Wait, so this isn't a bike share station being built at Liberty Memorial? It looks so much like the stub for one I thought all along that's what they are building here:

Their twitter account has a job posting starting with "With 7 new stations next month + more on the horizon"

That clearly means 8+ stations are planned

This blog news was just posted referring to the 7 for August, which we already knew about several days ago shown as 'coming soon' on map..

But the blog doesn't mention more on top of that.

STL shooting itself in foot, no, shooting itself in head...

Am thinking STL only major city not to have started a bikeshare system. How in the hell can this be controversial, it would complement LRT perfectly.

Baltimore bikeshare may be having issues with too many stolen bikes. Is KC's having any issues?

“We aren’t taking an inordinate amount of reports for stolen bikes,” Smith said. “Some might be taken or left discarded. They might not be reported as a theft.”
Sounds like they're having a normal amount of theft.
