this should also make the bus appear brighter. have you ridden the hope bus with the pink vinyl seats? makes a big difference.

And by "time' I assume you mean "almost immediately".

Has anyone created a map overlaying bus service with school zones showing amount of free/reduced lunches metro-wide?

Could give an interesting view of where the gaps in coverage age.

this is great but it shows one problem with the bus system

why couldn't this line go further east? seems like a lost opportunity to require everyone who doesn't live west of US 71 to make a transfer

can't have every route go everywhere but why not one of them?

have this terminate at 27th and Indiana and you're created demand for east side housing that has a way to get to work via the bus

Thought I noticed a bus stop outside of the Amazon warehouse... this would explain it.

Think longer.

How long does it take to get to downtown from Independence Ave around Lykins Sq and what's the average wait for a transfer downtown?

I bet the actual trip for their target worker is more like 2-2.25 hours.

This is why this bus route is for people who haven't yet bought a car.

I got that number from looking at the schedule, not from "thinking".

You can find plenty of examples of longer times.

If you need to get there by 8am you have to hop on the bus at 6:43am downtown for the 7:42 dropoff.

Transferring from bus 24 there's a ~6:39 at 13th and Holmes, but that's risking missing your bus and you need time to walk between stops.
So you take the bus before that gets there at 6:23. That bus arrives near your home around Benton at about 6:07am.

That's two hours getting to work.

if you don't want a 2 hour bus commute to downtown, don't live in a sparsely populated suburb 30 miles away.

it's a combination that amazon located too far out and the bus is too slow to use it to get here

HOV lanes could help dramatically in these kinds of cases
