Does that link work for you?

Overall, the experience was better than I would have predicted.

It says a lot about public perception that the majority of reports expressed amazement that most of their fellow bus-riders were normal-looking working folks, and not the psych patients and criminals that they were expecting. And these are people that work Downtown, so one would assume they have more accurate knowledge of things like the urban environment and public transportation. One guy was blown away that he had a conversation about the Royals, with complete strangers, ON THE BUS!

GM actually ran this ad:

and apparently enjoyed a bit of success from it. Despicable, in my opinion.

GM should be forced to pay for america's mass transit budget problems...even though I think that just ran in Canada.....

isn't GM also the ones who bought up our street line? Nice ecological move GM...where are those electric cars again?

Yeah, GM bought up streetcar/trolley companies all over the country, then promptly liquidated those companies and tore up the rails.

Where's the Enviromental Liberation Front (ELF) when you need them...
The Pendergast Poltergeist Project!

I finally divorced beer and proposed to whiskey, but I occassionally cheat with fine wine.

Well, there are cars made by GM's competition that you can buy instead of theirs. I did, though that ad wasn't the reason. I just like the way my Subaru handles. But I'm glad I don't have a GM vehicle now.
