Are there like 5 international flights now? I know Toronto, Cabo, Puerta Vallarta, and I think there are a couple more Mexican destinations.
I'd be down with Truman airport....I loved Buck but not airport worthy. We'd be like those hicks in OK naming it Roy Rogers airport...what the heck is that?

Will Shields was a great Pro-Bowl guard, but I don't think he warrants an airport being named after him.

My favorite name for an airport is still Sky Harbor in Phoenix. Just sounds cool.
I'd be a no vote on O'Neil, sorry Buck.

This would be an ideal Idea but we have to remember that the FAA has to aprove the name change of the airport. They might want to call it Lamar Hunt International instead.
I was mildly ok with the Buck suggestion. Wouldn't bother me if they did.
But LAMAR??!??! Not even one single shrub should be so deemed. Only KC would honor a man who took so much from it.
Stockholm Syndrome, to the Nth degree.

Boy, talk about some pissed off tourists!
Just like "Ontario" airport in Southern California. I wonder how many people have gotten off the plane expecting to find piss beer and ice hockey only to find themselves looking at palm trees.

Wichita is considering renaming their airport "Dwight D. Eisenhower Airport." Just thought I'd revisit this in the wake of possible renovations to the airport.
Should we name our airport after Buck O'Neil? Or any notable Kansas Citians?

My idea would be for some one that is from the area and has ties to aviation. Amelia Earhart International. Just a thought.
