I need to put up a privacy screen around a porch and want to do it with something aesthetically pleasing. Was thinking about trying to find some reclaimed materials. Any tips on good places to go in KC? Bottoms Up in the West Bottoms is the only place I seem to see on Yelp or Google.

I would have said Second Saturdays. You need to get the weekend map, there's a lot of places that are hard to find online

Are you looking for reused raw materials (dimensional lumber, etc) or finish materials (trim, doodads, etc)?

Raw materials, but don't have a vision yet, so both I guess.

We were there less than a month ago. They had very little in terms of raw wood. They have plenty of mismatched trim.

Does anyone know of a good alternative since Architectural Salvage on Broadway closed? What happened to all of their stuff? I’m in need of some nice historical pieces for a new old house I’m purchasing and am not sure where else in town might have a similar doors, windows, fireplace surrounds, doorknobs, etc...

Someone mentioned second Saturdays in the west bottoms. Most of what I have seen there has been sanded, painted, or otherwise heavily refinished. I’d like objects in a state like what Architectural Salvage used to keep - structurally sound, but still clearly old and worn.
