By the way, you can keep track of the elections results online.  You can even get county by county reporting.

McCain is currently winning Missouri by about 60%-40%.  But, there are still NO NUMBERS coming in from the following counties:

St. Louis (liberal)
St. Louis City (liberal)
Kansas City (liberal)
Clay (either)
Platte (conservative)
Cass (conservative)
St. Charles (conservative)
Greene (conservative)  <---Springfield
Boone (liberal)  <---Columbia

And Jackson County (outside of KCMO) only has 1% reporting.

Actually, I was just thinking they were pandering to Obama by saying he's not as psychotically left as he presents himself to be.

The only way McCain can win at this point is by winning every state from here to the West Coast, then picking off one of either Washington or Oregon. Good luck.

Looks like Sam Graves will thump Kay Barnes. Any word on other local races? Moore/Jordan? Light rail?

The networks are not calling it, but I am.  Obama has officially won.  We will know within the next 6-8 months whether we got the moderate Obama that ran the last four or five months, or did we get the die hard liberal that his record shows.  Listening the Congressional Dems we know they are licking their chops about pushing a pretty liberal agenda, we'll see if Obama is on board or if he keeps his promise to be a uniter.  I think a lot of it has to do with the final poll numbers.  He could go a long way in winning reelection in 2012 by shooting down some of the far left nonsense that is likely to make its way out of Congress.

In the short run this is good for the US, liberals will finally quite complaining, republicans who are unhappy with the Bush spend & borrow years will finally be able to move on, and the rest of the world might think for a second that we are not all a bunch of facist meanies.  We'll see how it goes beyond that.

Good.  Hulsof is a great guy but Nixon has done a great job IMO as Attorney General.  I voted for Nixon.... come on guys try to call me a neo-con now!

Would love to see Moore go down, but it probably will not happen.  I would love to see light rail in KC at some point, but I voted no here myself.  The city has already spent over one billion in the last few years on downtown and the stadium renovations.  Too much money, too little coverage, not enough of a plan (just like the stadium initiative).

Wow, surprised to hear you say that. Nixon is one of the few Dems who I think is pretty sketchy. For some reason I see "major scandal" in his Governorship. We'll see, hope he proves me wrong.

That Dem that cheated on his wife a few weeks ago lost his House seat (he replaced Mark Foley, the one that hit on male interns - that district sure can pick a winner!). It looks like he might be the only Dem to lose a House seat. Republican Chris Shays looks like he'll finally lose, meaning every single House seat in New England is now Dem.

I'm a pretty solid republican who also voted for Nixon.  I had my identity stolen to the tune of $60k and Nixon was the ONLY guy who provided any support/assistance in sorting out the mess.  I vote on quality, not simply party line.
