Consideration of Resolution No. 10-1058 calling and providing for the
giving of notice of a public hearing on the advisability of creating a Tax
Increment Financing District over the Machine Shed property located in
northeast Olathe.

I didn't realize the Machine Shed was gone.  It was probably the best restaurant in Olathe.  I kind of liked the place for being unique.

I liked the Kansas tourism pavillion that was next door.  I spent hours in there and found info on lots of unique things and towns in Kansas that I subsequently visited.

Olathe City Council will vote on sales tax for new hotel
Olathe City Council  members are scheduled to vote Tuesday night on whether to approve a 1-cent sales tax for a community improvement district to help finance a new hotel.

Approval of the CID, one of the first in Kansas, would give a developer incentive to build a Hilton Garden Inn and an accompanying Johnny?s Italian Steakhouse restaurant at the former Machine Shed site near 119th Street and Strang Line Road.
