"GooBing"

Postby longviewmo » Wed Jun 25, 2014 10:02 am

Google's been doing Streetview long enough now that they're covering the same places multiple times. They've also made it really easy to switch between old and new photography. Bing is also doing something similar, which adds even more depth. This has given rise to "GooBing", or comparing how places transform with time. AFAIK, the original is Detroit's http://goobingdetroit.tumblr.com/, which has a few great transformations but is mostly really depressing.

for one stop they use a section of Baltimore, you can't even see Main. Same for 2nd St vs 3rd
