It will change out every year with the NABC Division I player of the year.

Is that an anchor desk where one can sit down and play sports anchor? Like the news desk with the teleprompter at Science City? Man, I love that thing. Please say it is!

Yes, I'm a child.

On 810 they're having a guy from the NABC Hall of Fame come on to talk about the facility - it opens tomorrow! Admission is $8 if you get tickets from 810 - they'll be broadcasting live from it tomorrow.

I was looking at their website, and saw a different rendering of P&L (i think).  What is on the roof in front of the KC Live roofing?  It just looks different to me with all of the trees and shit...i dunno.

Went this morning for a corporate event... it was great, unlike any other corporate event venue... they set up a stage, a classy breakfast/drink area, cocktail tables, and seating for about 150-200 all on the 3/4 length court... VERY WELL DONE!!!  And of course after, we were free to expierience the building, and I was able to whoop up on my co-workers through all the games...

Is this building open every day? If so How do they keep the visitors in this building from filtering into the SC or is there a common entrance into both?

They can be sectioned off so that only one is open at a time.

The CBE is very cool. I've been to the Basketball HOF in Springfield, MA and this is significantly better than the one in MA.

I can't wait to see the place.

I noticed on the website that they invite people to play in pick up games; am I reading this right?  I was a bit surprised as 1) it's a pretty competitive sport and who knows what will happen when you get 10 guys on a court of varying abilities trying to compete (cursing, fights, etc...) 2) the injury aspect and accompanying liability issues.

This Building is totaly Awesome. I enjoyed all of the activities that they had. From the start of the exhibit to the end was very exciting. I especialy loved the fact that there is almost a full basketball court and was able to shoot hoops all I wanted. I was also impressed with the entrance from the SC main lobby. I am glad that I got to see the inside of the building that I took pictures of and watched being built on the web cam. Mortensen did a good job on it and the SC. I would post the pics that I took today but it would probably be redundant with everyones photo albums. I tried the ESPN display and the teleprompter did not work.

A buddy and me went today....this was my first time since it completely opened.  Has to be one of the coolest things to do in KC...especially if you like hands on....very well done NABC.  My buddy in from out of town was hyped about it and loved it as well.

Great facility...and for $10 you can go in and play some pick up basketball downtown on a nice court....welcome addition.
