That's kind of what I was thinking.  Does KIVA show permits if you want to temporarily park your cart in front of a business?  Or will they try to open a permanent concession stand inside SC?

condiment bottles were lining the tables in ted's this morning. i'd say that's a good sign it's days away from a soft opening? the downtown location is not yet listed on their website, however...

Ted's Montana Grill sets opening date in Power & Light District
Ted's Montana Grill will open Feb. 11 in the Kansas City Power & Light District.

The 5,400-square-foot downtown Kansas City location, 101 E. 14th St., will be the fourth Ted's in the metropolitan area, according to a Tuesday release.
The $850 million entertainment district, developed by Baltimore-based The Cordish Co., is scheduled to have a March grand opening.

I will state again that for a chain, I love this place!

From the above link:
In addition to its made-from-scratch American grill dishes, Ted's features eco-friendly measures including using recycled items for nearly all paper, plastic, aluminum and glass products.

One of the guys here at work says he heard on the radio that there will be free ribs at 14th & Walnut today around noon.    He swears it was Famous Daves but Ted's makes mose sense to me... unless Ted's doesn't serve ribs.    Anyone else heard this?

Yep there were indeed free ribs down there today in front of Famous Daves.  It was drawing quite a crowd and it looked like a news crew was there.

I didn't try a rib since I was exercising at the time and ribs would have canceled out my effort.  :)

had dinner at ted's tonight. i was as impressed by the food as i was after eating at the ZR location. i might even go out on a limb and say it was one of the best chicken sandwiches i've ever consumed. the servers are new and very eager to please, which will get annoying if they don't tone it down a bit (for me, anyway). the place will be a smashing success for lunch due to the few quality sit-down options in the loop. no happy hour, which i don't understand at all...

I tried to go over for Lunch today but they don't open until 4pm right now.  They said that they are trying to judge the demand right now but that they will probably open for lunch next week.  If they do start opening for lunch, I wouldn't be surprised if they add a happy hour as well.
