It would be great to have a Joe's inside the loop. Lack of a downtown BBQ is an omission KC should definitely not have. I suspect it would be relatively upscale if going into P&L. They would really duke it out for patrons with Fiorelli's Jack Stack.

Plus downtown will now have a Johnny's, Joe's and Jimmy John's.

Agreed-- I'm glad this is happening, but I am surprised the Joe's brand isn't more front and center. I'd have called it something like "Joe's KC County Line Ice House." Or something.

the cynical davekcmo -- the one i like the most -- says this is the same as "ryan maybee's kill devil club!" and "alex pope's cleaver & cork!", meaning that you're only really getting a consultant and not the real deal with joe's KC.
