Yep. Super nice guy IRL, but he's just vicious with the personal attacks online when he gets mad about something.

Devin was a young lad, I don't remember how old, maybe like 12, who dreamt of becoming an architect. Maybe he is one now, who knows. I actually don't remember what it was that was insufferable about him, exactly, I just have a vague memory of him being pro-urbanity to the point of like wishing to burn suburbs to the ground or something.

I don't remember well either but I do remember a "you need an intervention" level of obsession with the forum from him. I think a couple people talked to him about taking a break.

Actually, I've wondered if FlyingEmbers isn't KCDev 10 (or so) years later. Absolutely no offense intended FE. You just sometimes exhibit the same fervor as KCDev. Not a bad thing.

I’m going to stick my neck out here and say that honestly, I think this will be a big asset to P&L and downtown as a whole. Since the downtown (commerce building) Plexpod is no longer happening from what I understand, won’t this be the only substantial coworking space in the CBD? Sure, there might be a couple small spaces that call themselves coworking, but 15k square feet of class A coworking space is better than anything I’ve seen in downtown proper to date.
Crossroads has WeWork and the new Plexpod in the old Think Big space, but I think it’s great to have options in those two very different districts.
As KC continues to attempt to make its mark as a banner entrepreneurial city, coworking spaces are so important in that equation. My company is a Plexpod tenant and I could sing the praises of coworking all day. It’s actually more expensive than finding a similar square footage space in a random office building, but coworking does create much more energy and connections than traditional office spaces for lease, so it’s totally worth it.
Altogether, I get the hoopla. Landing an innovative class A coworking space downtown adds employees with another type of energy that I don’t think is typical in the financial, government, and legal sector employees currently saturating the downtown office market. I know that’s an oversimplified representation of downtown, but I think it’s a valid point.

When is the signage going to be turned on? Could use another light on the skyline in this midwinter gloom.

This article in the Star says Two Light is already fully leased. I find that a little hard to believe. Any input, Stranger Things?
