Is that a wooden stake or a plastic tent stake?  Maybe metal?  Seems kinda expensive to me for a stake.
I may be right.  I may be wrong.  But there is a lot of gray area in-between.

Spelling smack is usually pretty weak on the Internet - but it's even worse when it's selective. You can't give someone a hard time about steak/stake and then go on to ignore desert/dessert. It's just bad form. Obviously, the meal is a bargain if they throw in an entire desert - regardless of how much they charge for stakes.
If it doesn't have street-level retail, it's an abortion.

Sorry, just didn't read the entire post with much detail since I was laughing so hard thinking about having a stake, like maybe one to put into Dracula, and having to pay so much for it.  Just had to have some fun on such a dreary day.

Well so much for telling myself that Bristol's is not a chain and that it's local during my annual patronage.

Houlihan's restaurant group which owns Bristols has been bought by a NY company and it will be run, apparently, by the past CEO of Applebees. Doesn't bode well for what was once among my favorite restaurants in KC.

Wow. NY/Applebee's combo? Hard to beat that. Are the KC Strips now Jack Daniels NY Strips?

Thought the Jack Daniels was TGIFridays. Of course Friday's are no longer in the KC area so maybe Applebee's are the local outlets.

LOL. They should open a Chili's / Friday's / Applebee's combo like KenTacoHut.

i tried to make a new "RIP gordon biersch" poll in a new thread but can only make a poll with ten options so got rejected. here is the list i came up with if anyone has the power to make a new thread with a bigger poll:

801 Chophouse
Bar Louie
BRGR
Bristol
Burger King
Chesterfield
Chipotle
Cleaver & Cork
Drunken Fish
Dubliner
Flying Saucer
Johnny's
Leinenkugel's
McFadden's
Mema's
Mixx
No Other Pub
Pizza Bar
Protein House
Yardhouse

and, of course, H&R Block Cafeteria.

i am also in favor of a second thread with a twin poll re: LEAST favorite of the above if for no reason other than hate seems to spur more discussion around these parts
