Seems like a good time to start a poll. You can change your answer and there's no end date. I intentionally excluded Famous Dave's (since he's so famous, who needs a poll win!).

For food, definately the Bristol. I've only tried a few though.

It's hard to pick since it really depends what mood I am in. Bristol is a clear winner for me, although I also like Peachtree and the chicken nachos at Flying Saucer.

I like Flying Saucer, but since I never eaten anything there, I couldn't vote for it in a favorite restaurant poll. If the question had been what is your favorite bar, the Saucer would have received my vote.

Peachtree edges out Bristol, for me.

Bristol is not top 10 in its category methinks - it doesn't suck but not really a standout foodwise. The Mixx is one of the best in its category. My vote goes for Mixx.

My vote went to Flying Saucer because if I am in a "sports bar" mood, it's great. If I'm in a "cafe" mood, it's great.
Not that I would vote for it, but does Mosaic not count as a "restaurant"?

Interesting. For all I love about Flying Saucer as far as beer goes, I can't stand most of their food.

And you are there almost everytime I've made it in lately! I agree though. I wont eat anything except the nachos. Haven't found anything else I like there besides delicious beer.

The cheese and charcouterie plates are nicely done as well. Its a place thats better to go to for a snack or appetizer than a whole meal.

Bristol hands down. Great food, terrific service and an awesome decor. Peachtree is a distant second, although still quite good.

Agreed, the appetizery stuff is decent, the highlight being the pretzels. Haven't tried the nachos. But in general the sandwiches and such I've had have been bad.

Same here. As it is, I voted for Chefburger just based on the frequency I eat there. I really like the atmosphere at Marquee.

Not sure where to put this . . . just heard Ted's Montana Grill pulled the plug on all 3 KC metro restaurants.

I ate at Chophouse a couple months ago for the first time and was impressed. It was pricey but was above most high end steakhouses I've been to, easily better than Ruths/Mortons/Capital IMO. Well trained staff too. That was just one experience though. Was packed to the gills with convention people.

Nice to see it packed. It is one of the more visually inviting places I've ever seen in KC but it has never been crowded when we've been by.

I really like that place. I have gone almost every time I'm home since it opened. On sundays (I think) they have a really good deal where you get stake, sides, and maybe desert too for like 35 bucks or something. It's a very good deal
