Disney High School Musical on Ice. I took this photo shortly after the gates opened. The other concession stands were busy but this bar seemed like it could not drum up business. I went by there numerous times and it was barren. the only people using the tables had food from other stands in the arena.

It could just be me but I doubt there are going to be a lot of heavy drinkers sitting at bar during a family event such as Disney on Ice.

I thought that was the only way you could sit through it.

boy that is really interesting.  i can't see it staying up for very long though.  people will surely cry out that it is celebrating and glorifying the merciless raid and killing of innocent women and children of lawrence.  while not terribly far from the truth, this marker serves as a very factual description of the events that occurred leading up to the raid on lawrence led by quantrill.  if nothing else it at least puts a few more facts out into the open that are rarely brought up in the heat of the missouri/kansas arguments.

i feel a thread hijack and eventual split coming.

KC Region is all part of the same animal regardless of state and county lines.
Think on the Regional scale.

Went to a concert last night.  Sat down in the lower bowl during the show, and couldn't help but to notice that there was a very faint "shit" smell throughout the entire lower level concourse, more noticeable in and near the restrooms.

Now, I can deal with the lack of automatic sinks and flushing urinals, but I sure as hell hope that our shiny new arena isn't already plagued with septic problems.

Yea I could not figure that one out. Why with all the newest technology in place in the arena why they could not put automatic flush toilets and automatic hand washing stations in the restrooms. In the restaurant that I work the hand washing station and toilet in the restroom is automatic. In a multi million dollar arena they could have spent a few more bucks and placed the technology in the restroom.

I think that smell was probably R. Kelly.

Must have something to do with what you were seeing.   I was there for a sold-out show yesterday andd there was no foul smell at all, and the restrooms were spotless and odor-free both before and after the show.

Driving home tonight, I seemed to notice that a window on the south side of Sprint Center appeared to be smashed out.  Did anyone else notice that?

Good.  Perhaps it was a reflection, but looked to be a broken window on the south side.
