Not an architect.  But it would have to be way less than half to just cover Arrowhead.

Word on the street is that Lamar and David are appling for federal funds to build this making it the first national monument located over a sports complex.

Kansas City will be celebrating it's heritage with the "National Westword Trails Covered Wagon Monument".

Dateline 2015 "Tragedy strikes the heartland the Thursday before the NCAA Final Four in Kansas City when the roof of Arrowhead Stadium (also know as the National Westword Trails Covered Wagon Monument) was damaged when a large piece of debris from the National Tornado Monument Tower was blown into the edifice by an unusually strong spring microburst. The Community of Raintree Lake is currently planning the National Memorial Microburst Monument, a 100 yard ling wind tunnel that can also be used as a testing facility for boats and cars."

I think it's pretty clear this entire issue has been devised to mask a vile sex scandal involving illegal aliens and low cost lunch programs.

My best friends dad, , is one of the heads at HOK, and was the main guy at the firm involved with the Sprint Center... I'll try and get some details from him.

it means people need to be careful about associating names to themselves....for many reasons including exposing sources, exposing themselves, etc.

I'm not aware of any bills being sent out to people....if you get one, I wouldn't pay it.  I'm simply trying to protect the user who might not know what position they are putting themselves in by associating names with their parents.....there are cases all the time about teens putting too much info on the net.  If you need further explanation I'd gladly help you out over private messaging.

kcdcchef wrote: thank you. based on some people i spoke to at kci on my way out, some seemed confused, saying things like, paying one tax to help the teams is fine, but, a rolling roof is too much tax burden on us.  like, they did not get that the rolling roof was not paid by them.
And who was going to pay it? Businesses? A tax is a cost of doing business that's passed on to their customers. The ultimate customer, the ones at the end of the line are you and me. And we can't pass it on to anyone else, so we are really the ones paying the tax.

Just sayin'

all i am gunna say is to just put a tax for the roof with all the missouri counties that would pay, and in KS johnson county, and itll pass with flying colors  i think

Discussion rolls on about another roof-tax vote

Chiefs Chairman Clark Hunt met with Kansas City business leaders Friday afternoon to discuss options for resurrecting a rolling roof proposal at the Truman Sports Complex.....

Hunt said an August ballot would be better than a November election because architects would need to know whether to include a roof in design plans for overhauling Arrowhead. Jackson County voters on April 4 approved a sales tax to fund the bulk of work to transform Arrowhead and Kauffman stadiums, which will bring Kansas City a baseball All-Star game.....

Snce the rolling roof failed, some business leaders have expressed a reluctance to support the use tax a second time. In Jackson County, a use tax, which business primarily pay, could have cost corporations as much as $1 million a year. Missouri, Kansas, Kansas City and surrounding counties already have use taxes.

They're going to have a tough time getting this thing to pass second time around.  They've already played the "keep the teams" card, and apparently the other benefits (i.e. Super Bowl) didn't seem to appeal enough to the voters.

Hunt's gonna have to pony up the cash for this one himself, methinks...

^I'd have to agree.  I wouldn't see it passing in JoCo either.

I have no doubt they will come up with yet another clever yet misleading marketing ploy to manipulate the voters.
