Re: Official: April 2006 election results thread
According to my informal discussions with election judges around the county, the YES side is narrowly outpacing the NO side. However, Steve Gloriosio's voracious appetite has resulted in many eaten ballots, most from YES voters. Therefore, it is currently too close to call. Tune in for more on KMBC 9 News at 10:00.

Re: Official: April 2006 election results thread
810AM, 4, & 41 are saying that the results from East Jack will probably come in FIRST (like just after 7:00pm) since some of those cities have other races going on. KCMO should release their preliminary results from some areas sometime before 8:00pm. So, if this is passing at first, wait for the CITY results.

Re: Official: April 2006 election results thread
The news was saying that East JaCo is having a turnout of up to 40% or more, which is supposedly a lot for a springtime election. they insinuated that the rest of KCMO doesn't care as much.

until further notice i will routinely point out spelling errors committed by any here whom i frequently do battle wit

Why does KC have an election board separate from that of Jackson County? Every other county in the area has one county wide election board.

Re: Official: April 2006 election results thread
This vote MUST be really close. With the Arena vote, we knew by 7:30 that it was passing. Even though those numbers could have changed at anytime, the preliminary results was that it was passing.
Here it is, almost 7:30....and we have heard NOTHING on this vote!

Remember, those are the number from Eastern Jackson County, not KCMO yet. The numbers for Q1 might go down in the 8 o'clock hour, when we are expected to get some numbers from KCMO.kcdcchef wrote: 25% precincts in

Re: Official: April 2006 election results thread
I wasn't expecting 1 to pass, and 2 to fail, but I am not suprised. Some people wanted to keep the teams (so, YES on 1), and make it cheaper for tax payers (so, NO on 2).

Re: Official: April 2006 election results thread
noone is sure of that, that is speculation. armstrong is talking about it on 810, does not sound like they agree with that logic there. either way, if this think stays thousands of votes up just in eastern jack, kcmo has a lot of its residents not in jacko, so, it may be moot.AllThingsKC wrote: Remember, those are the number from Eastern Jackson County, not KCMO yet. KCUR reporting at 7:50: less than 25% of precincts reporting; 39,000 ballots counted, 1 is carrying by 2000 votes, 2, failing by about 2000 votes.

That's not a final tally, is it?
