Bad, Bad News Everyone

According to this article, Platte Co. is the only county left to approve Bi-State II. It mentions that there had been some talk to change the wording so that the money could go towards a Downtown Stadium... but officials in Johnson and Jackson Co said they would not approve that.

VOTE NO!

Why is this bad news? Of course they are not going to change Bistate only weeks before the election.

I'm fine with this failing as is. It is still a bad plan even if it was changed to give the money towards a new downtown park. The Chiefs need to get less money, the Royals need to be told to go downtown (no either/or), and it'd be nice to know what the arts money will actually go to.

I guess I just had hopes of a verbiage change. That's all. :D

But good point, if it doesn't pass, then we're still good.
