SABR Negro Leagues Conference in KC

Post by KCMax »

For those of you that don't know, SABR is the Society of American Baseball Research. They are holding a Negro Leagues conference here in July. The whole shebang is $125, but if you just want to do the landmark tour, its $5, if you just want to go to the Legends Luncheon (catered by the Peachtree!) its $15.

9th Annual Jerry Malloy Conference
The SABR Negro Leagues Committee presents the 9th Annual Jerry Malloy Conference July 7, 8 and 9 in Kansas City. Satchel Paige is the theme and his 100th birthday is July 7.

Throughout the conference attendees will have the opportunity to hear from scholars and researchers from all over the country presenting on a variety of Negro League topics. Each session will include a time for Q & A following the presentation.

The world class Negro Leagues Conference exhibits will be housed in two connecting rooms around the corner from the Research presentations. The public, for $2 charge, will have access to the rooms. Tables will cost $75 per table or $125 for two. Money or checks are payable to KC SABR, PO Box 22481, KC, MO 64113.

There's also a neat Landmarks Tour:
