If this embarrassment of a game had happened yesterday, no way the vote passes.

Strategy!  Hold the vote before people remember how bad the Royals are.

Exactly.  I was hoping we'd see something like this on Monday.  The loss was nice, but a blowout would have been better :)

Today was pitiful. I though we would have had a mediocre start but after todays game I am convinced that the Royals have to many rusty tools in the Shed.

Don't know if this makes you feel any better, but Detroit unloaded 7 more home runs on the Rangers today, including two more for Chris Shelton.

Must be nice for Tigers fans to finally have talent after years of sucking. Wonder what that's like.

i guess it feels like 2003 felt for us. quit acting like it has been a century since we had a good team to root for. we had a team that spent 5 months in first place in 2003.

2003 was a quirky start that carried us to July. Which, incidentally, was the last calender month that we have played above .500 in.

I am excited to see Affeldt on the mound. I thought he should have been a starter last year.

Correct, but July was still the last winning month on record.

Me too. I don't really care what Elarton or Mays do, I'm more interested in seeing how Bautista, Affeldt, Sisco and Wood do. They are the future of this ballclub. Elarton and Mays are just filler that won't be here for very long.

Sweeney has done really good against Garland, Sweeney is hitting .333 (13-for-39) with five home runs against him.

i agree. i am also eager to see if runelvys takes this wake up call seriously and gets his shit together.

the future, of the royals pitching rotation, is affeldt, wood, bautista, perhaps hernandez, and grienke, whenever the voices quit talking to him. and, if they all pitch to potential, that is a damn good rotation. i personally, am still laughing we got bautista for grimsley. wow.

In other good news, Mark Redman pitched very well in his rehab assignment for Wichita, and Alex Gordon, Billy Butler and IF Angel Sanchez all homered. Butler was 4-8, while Gordon drove in four runs. Wichita should be fun to watch this year.

Redman will be back to pitch in KC by Summer. Buddy Bell has said the Gordon will more than likely be up to the majors by May.
