Bryant batted .500 in the last 3 games with 2 hr and a key tag up from 3rd base early in the game. Also made a couple nice plays in the field.

He also didn't show up at the plate at all in Games 1-4 -- 1-14 with 5 K. It's Series MVP, not had a pretty good few games MVP. Zobrist hit .357/.419/.500 and was their most consistent hitter across the whole Series.

I was a little surprised Zobrist won, but I don't think it was undeserved at all. I don't think anyone especially stood out from the rest of the team, but Zobrist was a big contributor, from notching the first Cubs hit of the Series to driving in the go-ahead run in the 10th inning. You can make reasonable cases for some other guys too -- Bryant is one of them -- but to say Zobrist "didn't do a whole lot" is ludicrous.

Just wonder what kind of change this past year for the Royals if the team had signed Zobrist.

I know we are not as large as Chicago but this Parade Route is amazing. I really wish our Parade would have went all the way to the Plaza, maybe even crossed state lines. I think this will make it less chaotic

Sad indeed. Such a talented guy. Whatever issues anyone might have had with his maturity level, it was impossible not to admire the underlying spirit and fearlessness.

Damn.

Royals should trade Herrera for a guy like Michael Taylor of the Nationals then let Cain walk after this year, maybe even trade Cain in that same package and get a pitcher or something

With Adam Eaton out for the year, I don't think the Nats are going to be willing to part with Taylor.

I don't disagree with your plan, but I may wait a few weeks to see if 1) the team starts playing better as a whole and 2) our high value trading pieces start producing a bit better.

I'm not quite ready to give up on this year - despite all evidence to the contrary. I don't see our trade return being much different in three weeks. We have a winnable division. No reason to rush the trades.

I've always liked Gordon as a player and particularly in the field, but the guy has to be the slowest starter offensively in the majors. He never seems to get above 0.200 until late May or June and this year doesn't seem to be any different.

Nice to see they have some fight to them.

I still think we're a huge long shot to get to 85+ wins and the playoffs, but I certainly wouldn't be selling at this point.

Alex Gordon OPS+ is 51! Still pathetic, but at least it's going up...

Some people say we are close to getting Cueto, we just have to give up Dozier. I could also see Starling moved if Soler can finally do something this call up

Moustakas seems to be stalled at 35 homers. It would be really crazy if he finished the season with 35 after being on the verge of breaking Balboni's record for a couple of months. Perhaps he has gotten to the brink and is just trying too hard to hit #36?
