Next Mizzou chancellor is coming from Texas A&M
R. Bowen Loftin, the campus leader credited with steering Texas A&M athletics out of the Big 12 and into the Southeastern Conference, will be introduced as the next University of Missouri chancellor Thursday, a university source confirmed.

Columbia, MO named one of the Top 10 college sports towns.

Though, I have to question any list that has Los Angeles as a "Top 10 college sports town."

7.Columbia, Missouri

There isn't much else to do in the middle of Missouri besides drink and cheer on the Missouri Tigers. And that they do in Columbia. The bar scene near campus is awesome and the game day atmosphere for Tiger basketball and football games is something to see.

And Austin, the fans in Austin are the like the equivalent to the Atlanta Braves or any Florida pro sports team.

The article must have been written during Norm Stewart era. Mizzou basketball was top ten in the nation in attendance in the better years of Norm's tenure but nowhere near lately.

That's in addition to playing at Oklahoma as part of the Big 12/SEC challenge and the possibility of playing K-State in Maui.
