I hope the new and improved defense is, in fact, new and improved.

I love NFL, but can't stand the preseason. It's just hard to watch for me.

And you have to imagine the defense will be better just by changing. No way to go but "up" for that squad.

I distinctly remember feeling that in 2003...

The Claiborne signing was a pretty good one. He had a good season last year

Yes, we needed some corner help. Hope its enough, because he is suspended the first 4 games of the season.

So, nobody has anything to say about the second quarter in the 9/15/19 game against the Raiders? I don't know much about football, but I was screaming and cheering in my living room. That kid with the number 15 was spectacular. The receivers weren't all that bad, either.

Yes that kid with the #15 is the first true QB the chiefs have drafted since probably Len Dawson

We're already in the "no jinx" phase.

If we don't talk about it, maybe it will keep happening!

Took a long time for the Chiefs to get over drafting Todd Blackledge in the first round over Dan Marino.

Again. Nothing? How many people switched off CBS last night after the horrific first quarter between the Chiefs and Texans? I joked about doing so. Then the second quarter exploded. How could this have happened? Bam! Bam! Bam! Never count out the Chiefs. 51-31. Love it. Can't wait for next Sunday!

The thing that saved them is that it was 24-0 at end of first quarter, if it had slowly built up to 24-0 in the middle of the 3rd quarter i think a lot of people would have turned it off

I won't say I predicted it, that would be too far, but I did mention to a friend at the start of Q2 that while I was sorely tempted to turn it off and go back to playing video games, I would kick myself for doing so in the unlikely event of an "epic Mahomes comeback".

Now they just have to knock off the Titans, who somehow mowed through the Patriots and Ravens on their way to Arrowhead... kinda scary.

If Houston didn't attempt the fake punt that turned into Chiefs' first touchdown they probably would've controlled rest of game. Odd call.

Fake punt led to their 2nd TD.

Hardman's long kick off return led to the 1st.

It's a debatable call, but they're giving us the ball back either way. Yeah, the short field helped, but it's not like their defense was really shutting us down - as much as our offense was self destructing in the first qtr. O'Brien may be a bad strategist, but he's seen enough football to know the difference between those two things.

I know this is jumping ahead but I really think the Chiefs need to have the Super Bowl Parade from the Plaza and end at Union Station. The Royals Parade/Rally was kind of a nightmare from a logistics standpoint, just spreading it out would be pretty nice
