thoughts?

i've got to hand it to them, they're doing an amazing job of getting a large amount of free money during the crappiest time in the last 25 years of the franchise.

Not suprised.  But, if they're going to keep "Arrowhead" in the name, then the proper name of the stadium will probably be someyhing like:

_________ at Arrowhead Stadium

or

Arrowhead Field at ________ Stadium
KC is the way to be!

It's stupid that the Chiefs get the revenue from selling the naming rights to Jackson County's stadium.

X Field at Arrowhead Stadium would be the best IMO....too bad they didn't take the Royals path and name it Hunt field...Lamar was pretty big on keeping the Arrowhead name, wasn't he?

Maybe Arrowhead bottled water will step up :)

I do agree with Mean, JaCo should get that money, not the Chiefs.

That was part of the least that voters agreed to. Thank you, Katheryn!

Yet one more of my points that I made several years during the stadium debates.

JackO is getting everything they deserved for what they did.

It certainly was.  When Taxson Co. "negotiated" with the two teams, the ability to sell naming rights was one of the items the teams received.

It was a huge problem for people who opposed the deal, but the fact is: voters were aware of it (to the extent they bothered to read the actual proposal.  Which many didn't)

Funnier still:  the teams signed 25-yr leases in 1990.    For some strange odd reason, they were able to escape only 15-yrs later.  So anyone who thinks this new 25-yr lease will keep the teams happy until 2030, is a total moron.

Never! As a native of Chicago I know that ketchup is never applied to a hot dog, only mustard.

Maybe Garmin would buy the naming rights, and we'd finally get a little bi-state funding that way.
