I think the "what's new" would be a good idea. Most people I spoke to last year already knew the routine since they come every year. I suspect the majority of people coming to this year's tournament are people who have already been here before. It would be nice to point out what's change since their last visit. Just my 2 cents.

Help me figure that stuff out. What opened and closed since last tournament? It all melds together in my mind. I know dubliner and bar Louie and snow & co are all new additions.

Open:
Hotel Nightclub
Didn't Whopper Bar just open last year at the tourney?
Not sure if Drunken Fish was open yet.
Balsano Gelatto?

Crossroads:
Nica's Cafe
Jesse's Tavern
Cafe Gratitude

Pieroguys Pierogies (are they open in the Souperman/Dog Nuvo spot yet?)

Will Anton's be open by then?

Closed:
Raglan Road
Peachtree
Dog Nuvo
Crossroads Station

Nice list. I had most but not all of those. Is gratitude open? I went by last week and it didn't look like it.

I remember reading about it. On SW Blvd. Can't remember where. Can't say I've ever actually seen it.

EDIT: Its under I-35. Seems like a dive bar. Never really noticed it before. Its actually not new, it just closed and re-opened.

Maybe a quick rundown of rotating exhibits at the Nelson or Union Station. Info about the Kauffman Center, including tour or event information.

Kauffman Center isn't doing any tours during the tournament, and everything they have up on their website for March is already booked full.

Believe Union Station's Titanic exhibit will be opening in time for the tourney. The chinese galleries at the nelson were recently redone, maybe expanded? don't know haven't seen them.

Trying to come up with this list is overwhelming....I'm just going with the what is new/closed, and maybe a quick list of places close/cheap/fast. I can do the rest on the fly...basically everybody just wants cheap food close to the hotel and fast....got to keep in mind, most of people are from smaller towns looking for basic food between games...its rare to find a person that would actually enjoy say Extra Virgin....at least the ones that actually come up and talk to us.

Attraction list is good though....too bad Kauffman isn't doing tours that week/end....don't forget the Auto Show is going on too. I would like to come up with walking tours as well.....

Might be worth mentioning that the auto show is going on next weekend as well. Could keep some out of towners in town for an extra day on those hotel reservations they've already made.

edit: Forgot KCP already covered it, but still worth another mention on its own.

edit 2: According to the auto show website you get $2 off your adult ticket if you show your tournament ticket.
