Isn't it kinda cute - how "MoMan" logs on right after JosieWells posted, to back him up?

Gosh, it's almost like the 2 of them are connected somehow!

I watched a game in that tournament out in Anaheim.  It litterally looked like a closed practice - not a single fan visible in the stands.

I wish Quin was still around. He sure made for some entertaining moments. All those coke-induced tirades from the bench were priceless.

K-State is listed as Street and Smith's #22 College Basketball Program of All-time.

Jack Gardner
1939-42, 1946-53 (147-81)

Tex Winter
1954-68 (261-118)

Cotton Fitzsimmons
1968-70 (34-20)

Jack Hartman
1970-86 (294-170)

Lon Kruger
1986-90 (82-45)

KSU has struggled lately, but it played a large role in the history of the game and the cultivation of the basketball landscape in Kansas City and the midwest.

8 teams from the Big XII received a ranking on the list.

4. Kansas

I didn't say it was bad ever.

16k showed up last year too...and based on ku fans comments, mu bball fans don't show up ever, so I think attendance will be alright in 09 too

There were quite a few KU fans at the CBE last year too, I was there and saw scores of them.  I dind't see one single MU fan either nite this week.

You also forget that last year, the Sprint Center just opened, and there was a bit of "curiousity factor" among some casual fans.

17K last nite.  Not too shabby.

I was wondering last nite who they'd get in here.  I assumed something like, Kentucky-Iowa-Texas-WVU like it was a few years back.    I would've liked to see KSU be an anchor every 3 years as it's a built-in fan base.

I do not believe Iowa and WSU are really going to bring a ton of people.  They should, but they won't.  I'll be there but I doubt many locals will.  This tourney needs to be packed b/c it's an awesome event for our city.  And jeez, what's not to love about hitting DT on Thanksgiving week for some high-level hoops and beers?
