Ste Genevieve, MO
Ste Genevieve is the oldest existing city in Missouri, and was settled just before St. Louis around 1750 by people of French Canadian ancestry. The village was moved in the 1780s to the present location away from the river on higher ground.

Thanks. St Genevieve is a nice place with a lot of history. I didn't realize the little ferries still ran on the Mississippi around there.

I remember learning about St. Genevieve when I was in grade school.
There is no fifth destination.

Your pictures provide a good feel for the town. I like the brick close-ups and the variety of perspective.

Re: Ste Genevieve, MO
St Genevieve is referenced in the great Son Volt song "Tear Stained Eye". Great to see pics of the town.

Textbook early generic brewpub, nothing exciting and perfectly quaff-able. Crown Valley Brewing Co.chrizow wrote: looks like a sweet little town. how was the beer?

Pretty sure my buddy found some of this bottled in town, something like "worktruck wheat"?

That sounds right, they have been really making a push I guess recently - which is how I found out about the beer (the grocery store end cap).grovester wrote: Pretty sure my buddy found some of this bottled in town, something like "worktruck wheat"?
