Like this:

Bring up a console, and type:

mogrify -resize 72x53! Cubs_Suck.gif

which will produce this:

Unless, of course, you don't have access to a *nix machine, in which case you would find some windows app and point and click your way to it, somehow. For now, however, you can just lift this one, if you like.

You can do command line image manipulation without being a *nix user by using ImageMagick. (http://www.imagemagick.com/). A friend of mine built some spiffy batch files to batch resizing, thumbnailing and orientation-changing. Pretty slick.

You don't have to point and click to do everything in the Windows world -- you just have to have software!

BTW, I would greatly appreciate if somebody could take my current avatar and rotate it sideways so the gerbil looks as if it is rotating on one of those set-it-and-forget-it roasters, like StL_Dan suggested a while back.
