Jeter is going be hanging out in the ICT all the time now. Get ready for the gift baskets, ladies.

Good news for Wichita, though. Happy to see another team there. Seems like more and more teams are willing to have their highest affiliate located further and further away. Back in the day, it seemed like the AAA affiliates were always within a few hundred miles of the big league club. Now, the Mets are in Vegas and the Astros are in Fresno. So, this doesn't seem too far, I guess.
Is the gift basket thing true? If so they must have used Jeters tales in the show brockmire since Brockmire does the gift basket thing.

AAA teams is musical chairs right now. Word is that Brewers AAA are moving to Fresno or Vegas, Astros AAA moving to San Antonio, Nats to Nashville and Mets to Nats old spot in Syracuse.

KC will now have 3 AAA teams and 2 AA teams all within 3 hours of each other.

Outstanding that it’s triple A too bad it’s the Marlins :)

It's been rumored for years, but Jeter denies it. I want it to be true. And, it's definitely where Brockmire got the schtick. That show is hilarious.

Many cities have smartened up and aren't willing to throw millions at a new stadium. In today's climate, building a new stadium almost guarantees a team. Wichita lucked out for once and is one of the few cities where building a new stadium made since due to the fact that the existing one is 80 some years old and should have been replaced when it started to really deteriorate in the 80's.The people who say downtown Wichita doesn't have anything going on obviously were never down there in the 90's when Old Town and Delano were still pretty rough. Re-development has been slow in spots because quite a few downtown buildings and open lots were caught up in recession era bankruptcies. It's too bad that the Water Walk development never went anywhere after Bass Pro moved the proposed store to Olathe and Gander was never the draw it should have been (despite the store having been listed as profitable enough for them to reenter Wichita with a new store later this year). Downtown Wichita was already in a pretty bad place by the time Dillard's closed within a few years of taking over Macy's (they were reportedly shocked that people were more willing to drive to the two other Dillard's in the city rather than the store retaining the high sales figures of what had been the only Macy's branch in the city), which was the last major retail institution downtown.
