You can almost make up your own scenes in this red rock.
This rock likes to break off as if it had been cut.
There’s the café where we ate lunch.
Train, carrying energy to another place.
This bird thinks he is controlling the water flow.
You do occasionally find a flower here and there.
Water plants.
Safe to wade?
No place to go.
Room for a picnic.
Another flower opportunity.
Close experience.
This rock likes to break off as if it had been cut.
There’s the café where we ate lunch.
Train, carrying energy to another place.

I guess I took some liberties with these flowers.
These are fine, just as they are. Maybe it is a barber shop just for flowers.
You have to look up once in a while. They must have had a great view of the place from up there.
These birds be everywhere.
I’m running out of ways to show these pictures.
Here, I just added more sky so as not to lose any detail. It wouldn’t have been a big loss.
I consider the shadow to be as important as the flower that casts it.
This one took a little extra effort, but the antennae remain intact.
I couldn’t figure out how to extend the sky without messing up the buildings, so this is my solution.
Sky extension was easier here.
I just chopped off the left side on this one.
I guess I took some liberties with these flowers.

About the last group of pictures… Actually, only one picture… If you don’t know how to spell a word, you DON’T put it at the top of a picture in giant, red letters! My son pointed out that I had misspelled Sioux falls. Sorry about that.
Anyway, let’s hope I can do better this time.
We are still driving through SIOUX Falls.

We are visiting Palisades State Park in South Dakota.
A river runs through it.
My son didn’t think all that stuff on top of the hill should be there, but I like it.
Husband reads the sign.
Son joins him.
Trees and fences are always nice.
So we’ll have another.
This was a tiny little flower. I sharpened it and did a lens blur on the background. Now it is a 3D thing.
If you had been standing on that outlook platform, you would have seen me take your picture.
If you were paddling down the river and found this rock in your path, what would you do?
Anyway, let’s hope I can do better this time.

One confirmation that this is Palisades Park.
Couldn’t figure out how to turn the portrait-oriented image on the right into a 4:3 space. This was the oh-well solution.
A similar dilemma. This time, the image is on the left. Part of it shows up larger on the right.
Kids, enjoying the tall rocks.
They are massive and impressive. The rocks.
I may have taken too many portrait-oriented images. Now grasping for straws. Or trees.
Keep arms inside the boat!

I couldn’t find any puppies. The kids will have to do.

If you try hard enough, you will bloom, even in rocky places.
Appears to be hewn. But it’s not.

If I got myself into that position, somebody would have to unroll me.

My son patiently waits for me to take several pictures of him atop the tall rock.
Closer. (With a zoom lens, not actually closer.)

I spotted a young stranger on top of another tall rock. I decided his name should be Adonis.
Maybe this is the same young man, with an attractive friend.
Another river shot. Peace in the river valley.
You have to give credit to trees that attempt to grow here.
Back on the ground, that big flower towers over itself.
Just follow the yellow brick road… Oh, wait! It’s red.
Looks tempting. But don’t jump!

Reminds me of the 1958 movie, “The Blob" starring Steve McQueen in his first film role and Aneta Corseaut, who later starred as Opie’s teacher and Andy's girlfriend.
It’s a river, but it looks like a peaceful lake here.
Looks like a lady’s bracelet. And earrings, I guess.
More of the same, with a different twist.

Getting petals to emerge must be a struggle.
As we crossed a bridge, I was taken by its geometry and the blue sky.
