Kentucky 2017 Part 3

Post by Roanoker »

We’re inside the Creation Museum.
Image

I wonder what kind of food Noah ate.
Image

The book store is under guard.
Image

Any fossil hunter would love to find a specimen like this.
Image

This is another fossil “stand” like the one above. I cut away everything except the display, with a portion blown up and used as a background.
Image

The little guy on the far right must be a candy-striper, offering aid in a frog hospital.
Image

I took a bunch of pictures focusing on this enchanting frog. Life is good.
Image

This is a fake mountain lion, but he looks real.
Image

Not so easy to cut a big fossil out of the ground.
Image

Scary guy.
Image

Isaiah, Moses and David, all in the same shot.
Image

The Apostle Paul spent much of his time writing.

Old printing press.

Lots to read.

Bricks and window.
Image

These won’t eat your garden plants.
Image

Of every kind.
Image

Adam must have had a pet.
Image

Scary animal.
Image

Adam and Eve among my favorite kind of trees.
Image

Who might this be?
Image

Oh.

Innocence upended.

Keeping boards in place.

Everyday vessels.

Diorama. Two by two.
Image

Checking out how the animals lived.
Image

Tending to chores.
Image

Probably Noah.
Image

These are a few of the many people who laughed at Noah before the rains arrived.
Image

Another group, not laughing.
Image

Only eight believers.
Image

Useful household items.

Happy to be back on dry earth.
Image

Impressive eastern king.
Image

After fussing with this image, I noticed that the creature has five legs.
Image

Close up.
Image

This one has four legs, and a substantial tail.
Image

While driving through Ohio...

This building has a few alter-egos.

Cloud tries to intimidate buildings.
Image

Cincinnati Bell wants you to know that the leftmost building is theirs.
Image

We have traveled about 50 miles and will now board a bus for the short drive to the Ark Encounter.
Image

The full-sized replica of the ark. We’ll hoof it from this point.
Image

But we’ll catch a few flowers first.

We saw this “common” flower everywhere.
Image

First good look at the true-to-specifications facsimile of Noah’s ark. Notice the tiny people.
Image

Flowers along the way as we hoofed it to the ark.
Image

Not exactly wildflowers.
Image

Still pretty.
Image

Almost like plastic.
Image

It’s a big boat.
Image

I wonder if the animals used a ramp like this.
Image

Back end.
Image

Back to front.
Image

The sun is trying to peer over the ark’s backside.
Image

Flowers be here.

The orange flower we seemed to see everywhere.
Image

Just red leaves, but as pretty as flowers.
Image

We are inside the giant, to-size ark. The framework may be interesting to some.
Image

Husband examines would-be cages.
Image

Urns had to be stored somewhere.
Image

Learning or praying. Maybe both.
Image

Sacks of something.
Image

What might be stored in these pots?
Image

Not sure what these were designed to contain. I didn’t read the signs, if there were any.
Image

I should have spent more time studying this.
Image

This is the other side of the one above.
Image

Perhaps dinosaurs existed with man.

He wasn't sure how to answer your question. I can say this, however. When he was younger, he commented on how odd that the ancient Chinese Zodiac would be made up of eleven real animals and one mythological beast. He would draw pictures of dinosaurs as we've all seen them, with plain skin stretched over bones and imagined flesh. Then he would put tissue paper over the dinosaurs and add features based on stories about dragons. I used to draw pictures of pretty girls and turned them into paper dolls, designing dresses and other garments they could wear. But I digress...
